Preventing sprawl with the workload monitor
Different organisational fields are used in each module. Since there are many interfaces between the modules, the main organisational fields of the modules must be linked. However, there are also organisational fields that are only relevant for the respective module. All object fields used as organisational units are listed in the USORG table. You can call this table through the SE16 transaction. Alternatively, in the selection screen of the AGR_1252 table, the value help of the VARBL field also shows the corresponding name for the respective organisation fields.
The website www.sap-corner.de offers a lot of useful information about SAP authorizations.
A note box in which data of all kinds can be quickly filed and retrieved. This is what Scribble Papers promises. At first, the program looks very spartan. But once a small structure is in place, you realise the great flexibility of this little helper.
The case that the user buffer is not up to date is very rare. The auth/new_buffering profile parameter sets the value 4 to immediately update the permissions, i.e. changes to the user root or roles or profiles, and write them to the USRBF2 database table without requiring a new login. This value is set by default. The fact that the buffer is not up-to-date is recognised by the fact that existing permissions that are not in the buffer are marked in the transaction SU56 with the note "In the root data but not in the user buffer".
Efficient SAP rollout through central, tool-supported management
The SAP authorization default values are the basis for role creation and are also the starting point for SAP authorization management. For this purpose, the SU22 SAP authorization default values must be transported via SU25 into the customer-specific SU24 tables. The consistency of the default values should therefore be checked beforehand using the SU2X_CHECK_CONSISTENCY report. If inconsistencies exist, they can be corrected using the report SU24_AUTO_REPAIR. Detailed information regarding the procedure can be found in SAP Note 1539556. In this way, you can not only clean up your SU24 values, but at the same time achieve a high-performance starting position for role and authorization administration.
Of course, these objects can be adapted to the requirements of a company at any time. If a new program is required in the namespace of a company, the programmer decides which authorization objects should be checked in this program. If the standard objects do not meet the desired requirements, the programmer can create his own authorization objects that contain the required authorization fields.
For the assignment of existing roles, regular authorization workflows require a certain minimum of turnaround time, and not every approver is available at every go-live. With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you have options to assign urgently needed authorizations anyway and to additionally secure your go-live.
Not uncommon are subsequent requirements from the area of compliance (SOX or similar) or the increased need for protection.
If you no longer need old audit results, you can archive or delete them with the transaction SAIS via the button (Administration of the Audit Environment).
