What is SAP-BASIS?
If you have modified SAP objects, you have to match these objects during playback. The transaction SPDD matches Dictionary objects, and the transaction SPAU Repository objects. Prerequisites SPAM prompts you for modification matching. How to Stop Inserting the Support Package (F12). SPAM will resume processing at RUN_SPDD or RUN_SPAU steps. To enable your developers to perform the modification synchronisation, create an order in the Transport Organiser [Extern] and under this task for the developers. Ask developers to perform the modification matching for their objects. Synchronisation of Dictionary Objects (SPDD): The developers can view the list of affected objects with the addition of Synchronise Modifications in the input image of the transaction SPAM. Synchronisation of Repository Objects (SPAU): Developers must call the transaction SPAU and then match it. Once the match is complete, developers must share the tasks and inform you. The comparison can be done in any client. Call SPAM. Select Insert Support Package Queue. You will be prompted again to perform the modification sync. Since it has already been completed, ignore the hint and select Next. SPAM completes the processing and returns the status.

With the Security Audit Log (SAL) you have the possibility to log all changes, e.g. for users, user master records, but also roles and groups.

Migrations occur, for example, when a customer decides to host his systems at Rödl & Partner and the SAP systems therefore have to be migrated from in-house operation or from the original hosting provider to our data center. Also in the course of a conversion to S/4HANA, the data is migrated from the original database type to an SAP HANA database. This is also done with the tool "SUM" (Software Update Manager) via the so-called "DMO" (Database Migration Option).

A note box in which data of all kinds can be quickly filed and retrieved. This is what Scribble Papers promises. At first, the program looks very spartan. But once a small structure is in place, you realise the great flexibility of this little helper.

If you now want to change the permission data, you will be asked for values for the appropriate organisation levels. First enter a tilde (~) and define the value later in the derived roles. Maintain the permissions you want and then generate the master role. Adding the organisational level to the master role Step 2: Define derived roles Create derived roles Assign the master role After you have created the master role, it is the derived roles that are in the process. To do this, re-enter a suitable role name via the PFCG. In our example, it is called "findepartment_d01". For a better overview, it is usually useful to name and number the derivatives after the master roles. You can also define the roles according to a different scheme. After you have created the role, you must then enter the master role in the Derive from Role field in the Description tab. Confirm the Auto Enquiries. Customise the Organisation Levels Now go to the "Menu" tab. There you can see that the data from the master role was automatically copied. Since the role has not yet been generated, the Permissions tab is currently highlighted in red. Therefore, call "Change Permissions Data". The first call should automatically open a dialogue to maintain the organisational levels, as they are still empty. If this is not the case, or if you would like to adjust the organisational levels again in a later case, you can also access them via the button Ordende (see screenshot). If everything worked well, you can now see that the permissions were also automatically taken from the master role. If you generate the role, the permission tab will also appear green. Congratulations, you have successfully created a derived role! Repeat step 2 with the additional derivatives to adjust the organisation levels accordingly.

"Shortcut for SAP Systems" makes it easier and quicker to complete a number of SAP basis tasks.

SPDD_SPAU_CHECK This step will check if a modification match (transactions SPDD/SPAU) is necessary.
