What is an SAP transport request? How to import/export TR?
To influence the ABAP/Dynro generation, select Additions in the entry screen of the SPAM. Function Menu Path Turn Generation on or off Settings Ignore generation errors during the commit. Ignore error in SPAM steps If an error is detected in one step, the transaction SPAM stops processing until the error is resolved. You can always check with Status to see in which step and for what reason the abortion took place. Types of errors There are the following types of error messages: Security checks of the transaction SPAM A typical example is the OBJECTS_LOCKED_? step. The SPAM transaction interrupts processing when objects are still locked in jobs to be overwritten by the queue. Error messages of the programmes tp and R3trans The cause of error can always be found in the corresponding transport log. A typical example is the TEST_IMPORT step. This checks to see if there are unconfirmed repairs to objects overwritten by the queue. The affected objects are listed in the Testimport log. Incorrect setup of the Change and Transport System Common errors are the lack of appropriate rights to the files of the Change and Transport System or the use of old programme versions of tp or R3trans. Verify that the transport tools are working correctly with Transp Tool. Check Tool. A typical example is the DISASSEMBLE step. If adm does not have write permissions for the /usr/sap/trans/data (UNIX) directory, SPAM will cancel DISASSEMBLE with CANNOT_DISASSEMBLE_R_DATA_FILE. The transaction SPAM requires that the Change and Transport System [External] is set up correctly. For more information on known problems, see Notes 97630 and 97620.

SAP Basis consultants are experts in consulting. The job of an SAP Basis consultant has many areas of responsibility such as:
Decentralized, cross-site monitoring and alerting
Transporting transport orders from one system line to another or importing third-party transport orders into the SAP system is also an occasional task for an SAP basis administrator. As in my last blog post on system modifiability, I would like to offer you a way to quickly present this topic. So you will find a step-by-step guide which you can follow if you have already understood the content of the topic, but only the steps need to be taken. What are the requirements? Transport orders include two files, titled "data" and "cofiles". These files consist of a six-character alphanumeric combination and a file extension, which often represents the system from which the files were exported. The first character is always a K (the cofiles file) or an R (the data file). For our example we call the files K12345_DEV and R12345_DEV. These files are of course needed for an import into your own SAP system. Furthermore, you need access to the file system or the SAP directories, as they have to insert the above files there manually. In addition, the transaction STMS is required in the SAP system because it attaches the transport orders to the import queue. Now, if you have all of this available, we can start with the import: What is the procedure? Operating System Level Preparation. The first step is to copy the files to the transport directory of the SAP system. This is usually below /usr/sap/trans, but can be changed individually depending on the system. If you want to make sure that you are working in the correct directory, you can look in the transaction AL11 to see which directory is specified under "DIR_TRANS". This is the right directory to work on. Here the existing files are copied into it, namely the cofiles file (K12345_DEV) in the cofiles folder (/usr/sap/trans/cofiles) and the data file (R12345_DEV) in the data folder (/usr/sap/trans/data). Note: In this case, especially for companies with multiple systems on multiple servers, the access permissions and the file owner need to be changed so that the import in the target system does not cause problems.

So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? Scribble Papers is a "note box" that makes this very easy.

The default value of the profile parameter is 1, so the weak hashes are generated for each user. Preventing weak password hashes The generation of unsafe hash values can be prevented by setting the login/password_downwards_compatibility profile parameter to 0. Note that a change only takes effect when the instance is restarted!

For administrators, a useful product - "Shortcut for SAP Systems" - is available in the SAP basis area.

What if you don't use the Solution Manager on SAP HANA? Enterprise Search with TREX 7.1 SAP offers the possibility to use Solution Manager 7.2 on another database (AnyDB), for example DB2 or Oracle.

In addition, the product strategy is changing, including that of SAP.
